Ljungström® Cleaning Equipment

By avoiding uncontrolled fouling of the heating surface our sootblowers help to increase the reliability of the power plant and reduce potential operating risks such as fire.

We have a range of cleaning equipment specifically designed for Ljungström® preheaters by Air Preheater Europe for improved cleaning efficiency to ensure longer operating periods between required shut-downs for maintenance.

Our sootblowers are designed for automatic operation either as as a stand-alone unit or alternatively fully integrated in the client's DCS.

Depending on the type of fuel and operating conditions, a gradual increase in pressure drop through the heat exchanger will occur, regardless of sootblowing frequency, and when this pressure drop becomes too high the heating elements must be washed.  To this end our experience is unrivalled as we pioneered high pressure water washing for Ljungström® heat exchangers.
